Magical Miniatures

If you love all things magical and miniature you are in the right place.

About me and my blog

I am a mother of three and work on a market stall. In my free time I love to make magical miniatures. It all started with my gran who spent hours when I was a child teaching me how to make do. This entailed mending and fixing and making things from scratch. My dolls house consisted of cardboard boxes with windows cut out, beautifully decorated and all furniture hand made. We sat for hours making clothes and accessories for my dolls to the envy of my friends that all had the same generic stuff. So thanks gran for the inspiration. I hope you enjoy my art and my blog. Thanks for visiting.

My first book with working pages

Of all the tiny books I have made this is my first with working pages and I love it. I think it turned out great and teamed with a crystal ball it's finished off nicely.

A witches love potion further on

The witches love potion bottle is now in it's jar, and looking at the rose I made for my Alice in wonderland tribute jar I decided although for Alice the red is paint it could be blood for my bleeding rose in this jar. So I did the same again and added it to the mix.
I just have the lid to do now.

Even more Alice in wonderland

Nearly finished the Alice in wonderland tribute jar. I just need the cheshire cats head to sit on the lid to finish it off. So far I am more than pleased.

A finished mushroom bottle

With the paint on my mushroom bottle dry I filled it with fluffy blue glitter. It is strange stuff. Looks like net shredded. Still I like the effect it gives and the color reminds me of the sky.

A little more Alice in wonderland

If you remember I started an Alice in wonderland tribute jar. Well although still not finished I thought i'd give you an update while again I wait for paint to dry.
As you have already seen I made the caterpillar  that sits on the mushroom smoking a shisha and I had started the drink me bottle and the eat me slice of cake. I have also done a white rose half painted red. The lid and base of the jar are blue like Alice's dress.

Mushroom bottle

I made a mushroom from milliput clay and stuck it to a tiny bottle. I replaced the cork with a glass ball and painted the mushroom. I think it turned out well.

Crystal ball collection

Using beads and tiny glass balls I put these crystal balls together. I just need to make 4 spell books  to accompany them now. I have got as far as making the pages!

Gothic broach

Using a combination of bits of jewelry I pulled apart I put this broach together.
At first I was going to put it onto a necklace but  it was a little heavy.

Love potion for a witch

Using beads I have made a witches love potion bottle. I am going to add a little tag to it and put it inside a decorated jar. Just for a change!
I am going to make a range of different bottles for different things.
