I still need to make her hair pin and attach her knitting to her hands. Then ill set about making the chair and other bits and bobs.
Magical Miniatures
If you love all things magical and miniature you are in the right place.
About me and my blog
I am a mother of three and work on a market stall. In my free time I love to make magical miniatures. It all started with my gran who spent hours when I was a child teaching me how to make do. This entailed mending and fixing and making things from scratch. My dolls house consisted of cardboard boxes with windows cut out, beautifully decorated and all furniture hand made. We sat for hours making clothes and accessories for my dolls to the envy of my friends that all had the same generic stuff. So thanks gran for the inspiration. I hope you enjoy my art and my blog. Thanks for visiting.

More Nanna
I think you might agree that nanna looks a tad less scary now! She is coming along with a body made from wrapping a bandage around the wire and painting over with pva glue, dress, shawl and hair.

Pickled Nanna the next step
Well I have made Nanna some slippers and hands using milliput clay. Then iv'e painted them. Once they are dry i'll make her a body and clothes.
I have found some curly dolls hair I can make her wig from and i'll make an arm chair to seat her in. I think i'll do a basket full of balls of wool too.
Then as usual into the jar she will go.

Pickled Nanna
On a slightly different theme to my normal one I am making a range of pickled grandmas to be sold on a haberdashery stall. Each one will sew or knit in different scenes within a jar.
My first will be a knitting grandma. I have made her head from a polystyrene ball, painted it and made a wire frame body. I have made some wire rimmed spectacles for her too.
Also I have made her knitting from two dress making pins and some wool. It was hard casting on to pins!!!

Holy water bottle
I have been considering a miniature vampire slaying kit for a while and finally decided to make one.
I have the box in witch it will reside and i'll paint it black with a red satin plush inlay. I have not quite decided on the exact cross design for the lid of the box but I am thinking red and gems! Inside i'll have a vile of holy water, a stake, an amulet with a scroll and fang.
So far I have the holy water bottle done. I had taken some crosses off some old jewelry and have a few left so iv'e glued one to the bottle front.
Also my bottle was missing it's stopper so I had to make one from clay.

My first book with working pages
Of all the tiny books I have made this is my first with working pages and I love it. I think it turned out great and teamed with a crystal ball it's finished off nicely.

A witches love potion further on
The witches love potion bottle is now in it's jar, and looking at the rose I made for my Alice in wonderland tribute jar I decided although for Alice the red is paint it could be blood for my bleeding rose in this jar. So I did the same again and added it to the mix.
I just have the lid to do now.
