Magical Miniatures

If you love all things magical and miniature you are in the right place.

About me and my blog

I am a mother of three and work on a market stall. In my free time I love to make magical miniatures. It all started with my gran who spent hours when I was a child teaching me how to make do. This entailed mending and fixing and making things from scratch. My dolls house consisted of cardboard boxes with windows cut out, beautifully decorated and all furniture hand made. We sat for hours making clothes and accessories for my dolls to the envy of my friends that all had the same generic stuff. So thanks gran for the inspiration. I hope you enjoy my art and my blog. Thanks for visiting.

A box card

A friend of mine ordered a birthday card for another friend. No specifics he just asked me to do what I do! Although this gives free reign I worry so much weather the intended person and the customer will like it when I have finished. On this occasion they both loved it.
I started with a cardboard box and a lid that slots into the box not over. I then cut out the window and added a flap for the door.
On the back I added another flap to create the actual card. Once I had decorated it all inside and out with different collage papers I made and added the little witch and black cat. For an extra bit of decoration I added the shelf and accessories. On the outside I added two mushrooms that I put a loop of ribbon under each so that you can tie the door shut.
