Magical Miniatures

If you love all things magical and miniature you are in the right place.

About me and my blog

I am a mother of three and work on a market stall. In my free time I love to make magical miniatures. It all started with my gran who spent hours when I was a child teaching me how to make do. This entailed mending and fixing and making things from scratch. My dolls house consisted of cardboard boxes with windows cut out, beautifully decorated and all furniture hand made. We sat for hours making clothes and accessories for my dolls to the envy of my friends that all had the same generic stuff. So thanks gran for the inspiration. I hope you enjoy my art and my blog. Thanks for visiting.

Rubbish art

I was wondering while bored one day what I could do with a plastic bottle! After a little deliberation I decided to create a winter home for fairy's. Some where that when it rains or snows the fairy folk would be dry and warm.
I cut the side from the small plastic bottle and lined it with dried moss, T bag soil and dried flowers.
Then I made a house from balsa wood and set it on to a dried piece of pumpkin stem. ( I kept it after drying it because I thought it looked like a tree stump! )
Once done I glued the bottle back together and onto a base I also covered in moss.
To add the finishing touch I used T bag soil on the outside of the bottle and on the cap to create the look of rubbish just cast aside.
