Magical Miniatures

If you love all things magical and miniature you are in the right place.

About me and my blog

I am a mother of three and work on a market stall. In my free time I love to make magical miniatures. It all started with my gran who spent hours when I was a child teaching me how to make do. This entailed mending and fixing and making things from scratch. My dolls house consisted of cardboard boxes with windows cut out, beautifully decorated and all furniture hand made. We sat for hours making clothes and accessories for my dolls to the envy of my friends that all had the same generic stuff. So thanks gran for the inspiration. I hope you enjoy my art and my blog. Thanks for visiting.

Nanna has things!

Well with Nanna done I have a scene to set for the pickle jar.
I had bought some flat pack dolls house furniture a while back so I glued together the rocking chair and side table, sanded, filled and painted them.
I made a standing lamp from a flat wooden bead a length of dowel, polystyrene ball , witch I cut in half, hollowed out and covered in net.
Then I cut some pins down and added beads to the edges using the pins to hold them in place.
I have also glued some beads to create a vase adding flowers and a decanter to sit on the side table.
Just need to carpet the jar and we are off.

  1. Nice! Now Nanna can also knit at night. I really love how this little scene is coming along.
