Magical Miniatures

If you love all things magical and miniature you are in the right place.

About me and my blog

I am a mother of three and work on a market stall. In my free time I love to make magical miniatures. It all started with my gran who spent hours when I was a child teaching me how to make do. This entailed mending and fixing and making things from scratch. My dolls house consisted of cardboard boxes with windows cut out, beautifully decorated and all furniture hand made. We sat for hours making clothes and accessories for my dolls to the envy of my friends that all had the same generic stuff. So thanks gran for the inspiration. I hope you enjoy my art and my blog. Thanks for visiting.

Another pickled witch

After amending my pot doll and turning her into Belladonna I decided to make another pickled witch. This time in a larger pickle jar. I first glued coarse black glitter at the bottom of the jar as a base, then decided that i'd like an old looking street lantern with a web and dangling spider. Although not yet finished I thought you may like a look.
The street light I made from clay, assortait, coarse gold glitter, enamel paint and a bamboo garden stick.
The spider is two beads and silver wire and the web is silver wire.
Once i've made a few more little things I shall set my scene in the pickle jar.

  2. Thank you Kim. I've nearly finished 3 wooden mushrooms to set around the base. Just waiting for paint to dry, and a cat. x
